(July 3, 2023) – Action Sprint Tour management is today issuing a clarification regarding the AST West Series event originally scheduled for July 2 at Humberstone Speedway. This event was rained out, and the Action Sprint Tour portion of the event will not rescheduled.
“I spoke with Humberstone management and made them aware that by scheduling the AST next Sunday it would make a tripleheader weekend for our teams,” stated AST series director Clinton Geoffrey. “While some teams may like this, July and August are busy months for the AST and we do not want to put undue stress on our teams and their equipment with a second tripleheader weekend in the same month.”
The Oakwood Transport Action Sprint Tour West Series will race on Friday, July 7 at Ohsweken Speedway and Saturday, July 8 at Merrittville Speedway. The next Suprenant Truck Shop Action Sprint Tour East Series event is scheduled for Saturday, July 15 at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
Brantford, Ontario driver Lance Erskine currently leads the Oakwood Transport Action Sprint Tour West Series points standings, while Pierreville, Quebec’s Mathieu Bardier is the Suprenant Truck Shop Action Sprint Tour East Series points leader. The 2023 Action Sprint Tour Pinty’s National Series schedule kicks off Saturday, July 22 at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
